We All Have Cancer!

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about cancer and cancer survivors. I guess it’s because I’ve lost some really important people to this awful disease and tomorrow would have been my dear friend Kim’s birthday. Had she been alive she would have turned 45, but she lost her second battle to this awful disease! And then there was my dear sweet mom who passed away in May to lung cancer.

Canary in a coal mine

We all have cancer cells inside our bodies, but it’s a matter of what activates them, so instead of leaping into a panic attack about it, pretending that it doesn’t exist, telling yourself that there’s nothing you can do about it or saying that we all will eventually die from something…Don’t you wonder why we don’t talk more about how to prevent it in the first place? The first line of defense is not “get a screening”, like some would like to have you believe. The first line of defense against cancer IS what you put into your mouth and body three or more times per day! Nourishing our bodies with living organisms. Say, “Hello whole foods plant-based vegan diet!” Exercising – providing oxygen to our cells! Cancer cannot thrive in an oxygen rich environment! Not smoking or polluting our bodies with processed foods. However, we are up against some scary giants who are putting poison into our food system and manipulating our food sources like never before Hello M O N S A N T O! I saw this poster on FaceBook yesterday. Food for thought, for sure!

The statistics, if you live in the United States or where a Western type diet is consumed, are pretty grim. One out of two men will get cancer in their lifetime and for women it is one out of three women, although I suspect that the number is closer to one out of two! Further, the numbers for women getting a hysterectomy in the United States are very high or those who have endometriosis or ovarian cysts or other similar issues. These are precursors to cancer growth! It’s the canary in a coal mine and everyone ought to listen to these signals and take them seriously! Remember, you know your body better than any doctor! If you think there’s something wrong, get it checked out and do NOT take no for an answer!

Not long ago, I did an interview with Kayle Martin, who is a two time cancer survivor. She is also the creative writer behind Cowgirls and Collard Greens. She recently did an interview with The Vegan Zombie that I’d like to share. Plus do check out Kayle’s blog!

Another cancer survivor that I’d like to point your attention to is Chris who beat cancer naturally, after being diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon cancer. His video interviews seriously inspire me! Check these out:

Even though I’m not particularly fond of the title of this next video, “Cure Cancer in 90 Days”, I like to keep an open mind that this could in fact be possible. Obviously Chris was cured! Here again, is Chris  in this  video interview. Each interview is only about 11 minutes long. Cancer or not,  you owe it to yourself to watch!
