Read “The China Study” With Me


Dr. Deb, whom I just interviewed for The Red Thread (do read her piece if you haven’t already) highly recommended The China Study. Plus, I’ve had several other friends who have sung it’s praises, so Sunday I picked up a copy of the book. I have plenty of other things that I could and should be reading right now, but I feel that I can take Dr. Deb up on reading it in a day…or maybe two over Thanksgiving break.

I haven’t put out this request before to any of you who read my blog, but I’m going to do so now: That is, I ask you to get yourself a copy of the book and read it over Thanksgiving…or at least before the New Year. Can you do it? I believe you can and you might want to after reading what John Robbins have to say about it! Let’s do it together and perhaps send me a note about your thoughts. I’d love to hear from you after you’ve read it!

Listen to this! In the foreword to the book, John Robbins, author of Diet for a New America, writes, “The inescapable fact is that certain people are making an awful lot of money today selling foods that are unhealthy. They want you to keep eating foods they sell, even though doing so makes you fat, depletes your vitality and shortens and degrades your life. They want you docile, compliant and ignorant. They do not want you informed, active and passionately alive, and they are quite willing to spend billions of dollars annually to accomplish their goals.” I concur with him! Keep buying the lies…or read the book and educate yourself!

Robbins further writes, “Dr. Campbell’s new book -The China Study- is a great ray of light in the darkness of our times, illuminating the landscape and the realities of diet and health so clearly, so fully, that you need never again fall prey to those who profit from keeping you misinformed, confused and obedient.”

He ends the foreword with this, “If you want to eat bacon and eggs for breakfast and then take cholesterol-lowering medications, that’s your right. But if you want to truly take charge of your health, read The China Study, and do it soon! If you heed the counsel of this outstanding guide, your body will thank you every day for the rest of your life.” I know that this is indeed the truth, my own body is thanking me. I’ve been on a plant-based vegan diet that Dr. Campbell and Dr. Barnard promote  for almost a year now and I am deeply grateful to have come across this life enhancing  information! It truly has transformed my life in more ways than one! Bacon and eggs for breakfast? NO Thanks, John!
