It’s breast cancer awareness month and some of you know this is a cause close to my heart because of my dear friend Kim! I miss my friend very much and know that I’m not alone in missing this dear sweet human, as she had many wonderful friends, a family and a husband who loved her deeply, plus her beloved dogs!

Last night I watched TV and learned that in Washington State, where I happen to live, 100 women are diagnosed per week with breast cancer…per WEEK! We are ranked 10th in the Nation for breast cancer. That’s 400 women (and men) per month. 4,800 per year…and that’s just one State out of 50. That’s outrageous!
This concerns me deeply! Yes, screenings are very important in early detection. However, in my opinion, the number one prevention is your DIET! What you eat and drink daily IS your number one cancer prevention! Even if you’ve already got cancer and you’re reading this! I’ve come across this little clip on YouTube with Dr. Greger where he talks about how a plant-based vegan diet helps lower IGF-1 levels.
